> Larzuk does not care if you give him a low-quality, normal, or superior item. > Larzuk will ALWAYS add the maximum number of sockets possible for that item with that ilvl. Socketing at Larzuk (white / ethereal items) Here's how the two ways of socketing differ. And none of these areas will ever drop elite equipment. An ap which you found cannot have ilvl 1-25, because this would amount to normal Act I-IV. Then socket the restored plate at Larzuk. ![]() To get an ilvl 1-25 Archon Plate you must find a low-quality one and restore it to normal quality in the Horadric Cube (using the appropriate cube formula - see the link in #3), as this should degrade ilvl to 1. So an ilvl 1-25 ap cannot get 4 sockets, no matter if you use the Larzuk quest or the Horadric Cube. For an Archon Plate, these correspond to at most 3 / 4 / 4 sockets. > The Horadric Cube and Larzuk will often (not always) yield different results. This is determined by where the item was dropped. ![]() > The item level (ilvl) of the item in question. ![]() I thought that if you used Larzuk to socket the level of the character and the level of the item were both taken into consideration so it is possible to get 3 sockets from larzuk.
